Educational Trip Leader Permit Training Date: April 12, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Cost: $125 for the training, $20 permit application fee (to MDIFW)

Course Details: This one-day training provides the necessary knowledge and skills to become an approved State of Maine registered Educational Trip Leader. Participants will learn about safety protocols, group management, environmental stewardship, and how to lead trips effectively. This training is ideal for individuals planning to lead outdoor educational trips and activities. We will have access to a classroom at UMF but please prepare to be outside most of the day. Pack as you would when you are leading a group. Please provide your own food and drink for the day. Please plan on one hour of water time to go over canoe skills. Canoes, PFD’s, and paddles are provided- though you can bring your own (no boats!). We’ll provide you with a packing list and further details once you register.
