Adventure Bound
Join Outdoor Clubs statewide for a weekend of camping and white water rafting.
Adventure Bound is a great way for high schools to celebrate the end of the school year!
Outdoor Clubs are invited to camp at Adventure Bound in Caratunk for one or two nights and spend the weekend exploring The Forks, where the Dead and Kennebec Rivers meet. On Saturday, clubs can choose from activities including high ropes, indoor rock climbing, hiking, canoe and stand-up paddle boarding, or a swim in the crisp water at Moxie Falls. In the evening, cook delicious meals over your camp stoves, play fun games, swim in the pool, or cozy up to the campfire and participate in our annual s’more competition. We finish up the weekend with a full-day whitewater rafting adventure on the Kennebec River, followed by a chicken barbecue.

At Adventure Bound, groups will be camping on a large field with other school groups close by. It is difficult to find hammocking spots, so plan on tenting. All campsites will not have picnic tables or a fire ring, Please plan accordingly.
-
There will be one large communal fireplace where we will be hosting a fire each night. There are also two other fire rings available on a first come, first serve basis.
-
There is a central area available for groups to use, however there are limited picnic tables under it. We recommended bringing a folding table and camp chairs for your group to cook on and eat at.
There will be running, drinkable water for your club to use for drinking, cooking and doing dishes. Please bring buckets and soap to create a “dish pit”.
