Acadia Resource Guide

Utilize this guide to plan and prepare for your trip to Acadia National Park!

The Teens to Trails Program Team worked closely with local guides and businesses to develop special pricing for participating Outdoor Clubs. Don’t wait, Acadia National Park is busy, even in the fall, and the businesses and guides that we spoke to encourage us to get on their books as soon as possible!

  • The local businesses that Sam and Jess checked in with have expressed the need for clubs to reach out to them as soon as their club has a plan. The Acadia and Bar Harbor region is now just as busy in the fall as it is in the summer.

    As with any good adventure, plan ahead and come prepared.

  • Yes!

    There are so any wonderful experiences to gain while in Acadia! Teens to Trails has partnered with Friends of Acadia to distribute FREE park passes to Outdoor Clubs participating in this years Acadia Rendezvous. With a pass, you gain access to hundreds of hiking trails, access to regional desinations like Thunder Hole and Otter Cliffs, and all of the scenic beauty of Acadia National Park.

    Our guide lists a few of Sam and Jess’s favorite hikes and bike routes too.

  • No!

    Teens to Trails has partnered with Friends of Acadia to provide all outdoor clubs participating in this years Acadia Rendezvous with Acadia National Park passes for the weekend.

  • Yes!

    The experiences that we have shared with our clubs in the resouce guide has a variety of opportunities for adaptability. Please reach out to Jess@TeensToTrails.org if you would like some assistance in determining what experiences might be best for your students individual needs and interests.

    We recommend checking out Ships Harbor Trail, the first ADA accessible trail in Acadia National Park! The first loop of the trail is ADA compliant, but please note that the second loop is mostly flat with occasional log framed steps and plank trail.

    We also recommend the Jessup Trail, the Ocean Path and most sections of the Carriage Roads!

  • Not quite.

    We planned Acadia Rendezvous a bit differently this year. We felt that club time would be best spent out on their own and we created this resource guide as a stepping stone for clubs to begin planning their own adventures in Acadia National Park independent of Teens to Trails.

    However, Teens to Trails staff members will be present during the morning hours, the service project, lunch periods and evening to assist and support your club members.
